Autism is a neurodevelopmental difference that affects communication, social interaction, and behavior. Every individual with autism is unique, with their own strengths, challenges, and ways of experiencing the world. At The Aura Center, we embrace neurodiversity and focus on supporting each individual as a whole person.
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a science-based therapy that helps individuals with autism and other developmental challenges improve social, communication, and daily living skills. Using evidence-based techniques, ABA focuses on teaching new skills and reducing behaviors that interfere with learning and quality of life. Therapy is personalized, compassionate, and designed to support each learner’s unique needs.
At the Aura Center, ABA therapy supports growth in many important areas, including:
Our personalized approach means every plan focuses on what matters most for each learner and their family, with compassion and respect at the core.
At The Aura Center, we stand firmly rooted in evidence based behavioral science. Our methods, grounded in applied behavior analysis (ABA), focus on meaningful skill development and reducing barriers to learning. We prioritize accurate, data-driven methods to ensure lasting progress for every individual.
But our work is more than data and protocols. We believe in Shining Together—a shared journey of growth, connection, and joy among children, families, and clinicians. Our approach is holistic and deeply human. We see each child as a unique individual with hopes, feelings, and strengths. While teaching essential skills like communication, social connection, and adaptive behaviors, we also nurture happiness, confidence, and belonging.
A cornerstone of our practice is compassionate ABA that honors respect and dignity. We use limited intrusive prompts, knowing children thrive best with gentle, patient support. Our therapists carefully manage the environment to prevent challenging behaviors before they start by paying attention to what’s influencing the child’s motivation in the moment. We also embrace child-led demand fading, allowing each child’s pace to guide learning and ensuring therapy feels empowering rather than pressuring. This compassionate framework is ethical and highly effective, fostering trust and lasting progress.
ABA is not a one-size-fits-all formula or checklist. It’s an intuitive practice that adapts to the person before us. Therapy here feels natural, respectful, and age-appropriate, not mechanical. Our clinicians balance precision with compassion, blending science with warmth.
Together, we shine – celebrating progress, honoring individuality, and building a future where each child thrives not just in skills, but in happiness and meaningful connection.
