Valeria is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with extensive experience supporting children with special needs across therapeutic, educational, and community settings. She completed both her undergraduate degree in Psychology and her Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis at the University of Miami, where she gained advanced training in evidence based intervention and child development.
During her time at UM, Valeria became deeply involved in autism-focused research, family support, and community programs, experiences that shaped her passion for the autism community and her commitment to strengths based, compassionate care.
With over eight years of experience, Valeria has worked across one-on-one therapy, social skills groups, school based interventions, and inclusive community programs. She also has specialized experience in early intervention, picky eating, functional assessment, and skill-based treatment of problem behavior, including safety planning and individualized supports for children with complex behavioral profiles. Her approach blends rigorous, evidence-based ABA strategies with a holistic, child-centered perspective that recognizes each learner as a whole person with unique strengths, emotions, and potential.
Through the Aura Center, Valeria strives to create a space where children not only develop meaningful skills, but also feel seen, supported, and empowered to shine as their authentic selves.
